Colavita Christmas Tree Farm

Picked a tree in 15 minutes. Very helpful young man, I believe his name was Robert. Plays football... very kind, Great experience!!!

Drove 40 minutes with my toddler to have a wonderful experience choosing a tree, because this farm had high reviews from the Philly Inquirer and we wanted to support a family run farm. That was a huge mistake. Even after checking their website multiple times re delivery service - there was nothing to state the range of delivery, just that there would be a fee. I assumed it would be 300$ for delivery to Philly which I was happy to pay for. Again, there was no information about the range of delivery service. When we got to the farm we again confirmed that we would pay for delivery, we even bought the tree. Only to be told that they do not deliver to Philly because it’s a “long drive” - a drive that I had just made with a 2 year old. Who also was in my arms crying about this all. And that it would be 300$ for delivery. Again I said I’d be happy to pay that. The individuals “helping” then seemed to get irritated or frustrated with the concept of someone trying to give them business and who, despite researching, was given no information about the range of delivery. I ultimately had to return the tree, there was seemingly no effort to help. Despite me having driven 40 mins to get here, under apparently false promises for delivery. This all would have been fine if this farm had provided any information whatsoever about delivery range. And we’re at all kind/understanding. This was a terrible experience.

We have been going here for over 10 years now. Bob and the whole staff are extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help. We have never been disappointed with our tree selection whether it be cut in the field or precut.

I’m a local photographer, I always use colavita for tree farm sessions and get a tree every year but this year I was up-charged 25$ for using a card to pay my session fee, i normally wouldn’t complain but the owner said it was a service fee for using the card reader however upon getting the receipt, not only did they add 25$ for using a CC but the card reader itself added an additional service charge fee also. He specifically said “cash only” and stated he’s “never used CCs before, not any year” but that’s not true, I’ve always kept receipts for tax and accounting purposes and upon looking at past receipts - all were CC transactions with no 25$ additional charge.

We've been going here for over 10 years to tag our Christmas tree. Owner and staff are informative and friendly. Quality of trees is top notch. Selection/variety of trees is excellent. Something for everyone.
