I’ve been a customer of Native Texas Nursery for quite some time now, and I just can’t say enough good things about them. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a team that genuinely cares about your needs and is incredibly knowledgeable about the plants they offer. The customer service here is top-notch, and it's clear they’re passionate about what they do. Before starting my own company, I spent years working in nurseries, and I’ve seen my fair share of plants come and go. But Native Texas is different. The plants they offer are not only beautiful, but they’re strong and healthy—grown in the same Hill Country conditions that we deal with daily. They’re built to last, which is exactly what you want when you’re working with native plants. Most of my own wildscaping at home is done with plants from Native Texas Nursery, and I’m consistently amazed at how well they thrive. The beauty and resilience of these plants speak volumes about the care they receive from the nursery. The grow operation is expansive, organized, and well-maintained, making it easy to find exactly what you need. If you’re looking for a local nursery that’s truly in tune with the land and offers high-quality, hardy plants, I can’t recommend Native Texas Nursery enough. Plus, by supporting them, you’re supporting a fantastic local business that truly cares about the community.

I had a very strange and unpleasant interaction with James Plyer. My driver traveled from Houston to pick up the order. When he arrived he attempted to load the order himself but was stopped. The NTN staff loaded the wrong order into our vehicle. The order was very similar and my driver was never told to check it. When my driver was 45 minutes out, I received a phone call from James sounding annoyed saying that my driver had loaded the wrong order. My driver had to go all the way back. When he returned he was admonished by James and told nothing could be done about the time and gas wasted. I called James, and he proceeded to insist my driver was told to check the order (he wasn’t) and deny any wrongdoing on the part of his staff. When I asked if we could at least agree that his staff made a mistake he told me he was uncomfortable and hung up on me. I am hurt and confused by this behavior, and while appreciate the apology I received from the co-owner, I did not get my questions answered about why I was treated this way.
