About the Nursery

Specialty Botanical Terrarium Nursery. Top products: Closed and Open Terrariums, Japanese Bonsai, Kokedama Arrangements, Container Ponds, DIY Terrarium Kits. Sharm's Green Thumb, located in Longview, Texas, is a specialized botanical studio and nursery focused on the creation of living art through the lens of Wabi-sabi and Japanese design traditions. Founded by Sharm, whose twenty-year tenure living across various Asian countries informs the studio's aesthetic, the business specializes in closed and open terrariums, bonsai, kokedama, ikebana arrangements, and container water gardens. The nursery emphasizes the use of upcycled and vintage containers to house these curated botanical compositions, treating each plant as a living narrative rather than simple decoration. Operations include retail sales through an online Etsy storefront, local presence at The 504 vintage market in Longview, and custom commission work. The studio serves both individual collectors and enthusiasts seeking unique, nature-inspired indoor greenery, with plans to expand into hands-on educational workshops by summer 2026.

I purchased an Angel plant from Sharm’s Green Thumb at the ETX Market and she was so sweet and knowledgeable! I have since reached out and asked for advice on my other plants I didn’t purchase from her and she gave me great feedback which was so kind! I look forward to purchasing more from her!

Bought a small terrarium 4 months ago and still going strong. I don't have the greenest thumb and thought I had killed it. It was looking sad. Sharm was very educational about how to properly care for them. So I cleaned off the bad parts ,added a little bit of water and moved it to a more Sunny part of my house. I forgot all about it again. But when I went back to look at it weeks later I realized it was green and Lively. There's something so enchanting about terraiums and I'm so happy to have one in my home.
