When I visit my daughter who’s about 2,000 miles away, we try to visit Gil. I hope to get back to visit this fall. My daughter now understands another reason I collect plants, mostly dwarf conifers and Asian Maples. Gil is a really nice guy that takes time to share his knowledge in an interesting way. A great plantsman with great plant at a reasonable price. I wish I lived closer.

Gil is one of those exceptional human beings that makes you feel lucky to be in their presence, in their domain...it's truly a privilege. I'm seriously talking national treasure status, like Mr. Rogers and Bob Ross. But he's here!! If you get yourself down to the nursery, I promise you will be awed by his creations, vast knowledge, and kindness! He smiled and put up with me for 3 hours in the blazing sun, while I asked a million questions and tried to narrow down my choices. It's tough when they're all so unbelievably beautiful, and the prices are too low to pass up! His experience, hard work, and passion really shows in every plant. And there's a LOT! So go, go and discover this gem of a nursery! I'm so proud to have a small part of Burkland Gardens in my yard, and you will be too!!

Gil, was the nicest person and very knowledgeable. He spent quite a bit of time , showing me around and sharing his gift .I will be going up several times a year, from here on. Well worth the drive.

Awesome selection, very knowledgeable owner who will spend all the time you need explaining things. I know very little about trees but I know a lot more now after leaving. Will definitely be coming back next year for some additional backyard projects we're planning.
