About the Farm

Regenerative organic polyculture farm. Top products: fruits, vegetables, honey. Piney Woods Farm is a 501(c)3 non-profit agricultural entity dedicated to regenerative organic farming practices, soil rehabilitation, and community education. Operating on a closed-loop biological cycle, the farm functions as an educational sanctuary, focusing on high-impact soil health and sustainable food production. Their cultivation methodology emphasizes interdisciplinary agriculture, spanning fruit and vegetable production, livestock management—including sheep and chickens—and apiculture. While the farm integrates mycology through mushroom cultivation, their primary mission is centered on ecological stewardship and food security, having donated over 135,000 pounds of produce to local charitable initiatives. The farm serves as an immersive learning environment, offering hands-on workshops that range from heritage craft and textile skills like felting and knitting to technical agricultural training in composting, soil fertility, and botanical extraction. By operating as a non-competitive, community-centric space, Piney Woods Farm bridges the gap between traditional heritage farming and modern regenerative science, positioning itself as a hub for both nourishment and pedagogical development.

I had an amazing experience taking a knitting class at Piney Woods Farm! As a beginner, I appreciated how patient and encouraging the instructor was, making the class both fun and informative. It’s given me the confidence to continue knitting on my own. Beyond knitting, Piney Woods Farm offers a variety of wonderful events like gardening workshops and farm-to-table dinners, which makes it a fantastic place to learn new skills or simply enjoy the serene environment. I highly recommend Piney Woods Farm for anyone looking for unique and enriching experiences!
