Shannon and Teresa of Winding Brooks Farm not only cultivate wonderful quality mushrooms, but strive to grow others interest and knowledge of fungi. Their workshops are such a joy to attend! The mushroom cooking class is full of practical techniques you can actually use at home. They teach you about texture, flavor, and the best ways to bring out their natural richness. The mushroom growing class is equally fantastic. You get guided instruction from people who clearly love what they do, and you walk away with your own take‑home mushroom grow bag complete with hands‑on practice and clear, friendly instructions. You leave feeling capable and excited to keep learning. Special mention: Their lion’s mane powder is great! It’s all mushroom, no filler, and has that unmistakable earthy quality that really steps up your morning coffee! Winding Brooks Farm blends education, hospitality, and genuine passion for their products. The workshops are engaging and you leave feeling inspired and informed. Highly recommended for anyone curious about mushrooms whether you’re a total beginner or already deep into the hobby! I can't wait for the next class!

I really enjoyed the class. They were very knowledgeable, and I learned so much. Their blue oyster mushroom grow bag is absolutely fantastic and well worth the price. I got about 4 "blooms" from my bag, and the mushrooms were delicious. I would recommend Winding Brook - Mushrooms and More to anyone who loves mushrooms. I'll definitely take another class.

I have nothing but kind things to say about this couple and their farm. I have taken two classes so far that have left me hungry to learn more and incredibly excited. Most recently I took my two children to visit their farm. They hosted an amazing age appropriate presentation and a fantastic tour full of mushrooms, animals, and more!
