About the Nursery

Full-service Retail Garden Center. Top products: Roses, Indoor Houseplants, Ceramic and Clay Pottery, Trees and Shrubs, Tropicals and Succulents. Established in 1938, Berridge Nurseries is a multi-generational, family-owned garden center and horticultural facility located in Phoenix, Arizona. Operating as both a retail and wholesale destination, the nursery spans a significant physical location on Camelback Road, featuring open-air layouts, meandering pathways, and a greenhouse dedicated to a wide array of flowering and indoor tropical plants. The nursery is widely recognized for its extensive selection of over 170 rose varieties, which are cultivated in their own custom-blended soils. Their core offerings include trees, shrubs, bedding plants, succulents, and high-quality pottery and statuary. Beyond retail sales, Berridge Nurseries serves as a community horticultural hub, hosting educational workshops on topics such as rose care, soil management, herbal cultivation, and floral arrangement, while frequently partnering with local plant societies for orchid and iris shows. They cater primarily to local homeowners and gardening enthusiasts, offering a structured 90-day and 30-day plant health guarantee on their inventory to ensure customer success.

TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE I’ve been growing in az all my life with my nana whom has taught me well. I’ve worked as a volunteer for community gardener coordinators as well. I’m not new to this. Sadly my main complaint here is the horrible customer service. I live far from this nursery and sadly a Passionfruit vine (I’ve grown many of these before) had some fungal issues I could not beat! After 10 weeks I just couldn’t get the plant to take off and in fact, it just kept getting worse! I had to isolate it from my garden . I’ve never returned a plant before but was hoping to just get an exchange! I called, they told me in the phone “yes! If it’s been less than 90 days you can bring it back and get a full refund or exchange!” So I drove the long drive and then was greeted with absolutely no good customer service. No worker greeted me. They all just looked at me as if I was an absolute idiot. Then I was talked to as if I was a child and told “nope it’s only 50% of the total price you paid since it’s not sellable” I will not be returning. Bad customer service. They obviously do not train the employees and the older woman talking directly to me was very rude.

Been meaning to get here since Moon Valley gobbled up Arcadia Color to the neighborhood's loss and my chagrin. First time, not impressed. Second time and beyond, fabulous. Ignore the snotty Arcadia people putting on airs, and concentrate on the STAFF, including JULIE from Arcadia Color, who will always help you with GREAT horticultural advice. The selection is large, and I'm so glad I gave this place a second try despite the clientele. The OWNERS are women!!
