Trees of Antiquity is a specialized horticultural nursery established in 1976 that focuses on the propagation and sale of heirloom fruit trees and small fruits. The nursery offers a wide selection of bareroot stock, including apple, apricot, cherry, fig, nectarine, peach, pear, persimmon, plum, pluot, pomegranate, and various nut trees. Their operation is deeply rooted in organic growing practices, emphasizing the preservation of historical, flavor-forward fruit varieties that are well-suited for home orchards and small-scale farms. They provide extensive educational resources to their customers, including a comprehensive grower’s guide and specific advice on pruning, pest control, and soil management. Targeting homeowners, hobbyist orchardists, and smallholder farmers, Trees of Antiquity manages the entire supply chain from their mother tree orchard to the direct-to-consumer shipping of healthy, dormant trees during the winter season. The nursery is recognized for its commitment to customer support, detailed provenance of their fruit stock, and high-quality, vigorous plant specimens.

Purchased two apple trees and had them shipped to Michigan. Planted them in early spring and they are both healthy and doing great. Will definitely do business with them again.

This is a top quality nursery. I received my bareroots from them this year and it was very clear that they were in excellent condition meaning they were stored well. I have purchased hundreds of bareroots over the years and I know when a nursery is treating the "product" carefully. They also packaged and shipped with real care. As you will see, their website has a lot of really hard to get varieties and for me, that's a lot of the fun of planting - comparing (for example) my Utah Giant cherry with store bought Bing's. Anyway it's time to start ordering for next year and Trees of Antiquity is my first stop.

I grew up on a farm and fruit orchard. Now retired, I am building a heirloom apple orchard for my grandkids. We have planted 200+ fruit and nut trees from well over a dozen nurseries. There are less than a handful I would buy from again. I can say unequivocally that ToA trees stand apart in quality upon arriving and success in the field. The customer service has been outstanding in everyway. I recommend ToA to all the people who stop by the farm and those that ask me about building a legacy orchard. Couldn't be more pleased with my purchases (dozens of trees) and the value.

Awesome selection and quality! We ordered 10 different fruit trees and 4 berry bushes and had them shipped to Northern Vermont for a very reasonable shipping rate. All plants arrived in excellent condition; we had prepared the future planting sites last year in advance, so when the plants arrived, we just had to put them into the soil. All are doing well and are budding up. Super happy with our purchase!
