Okay I have to say this because I look forward to it every year 🍅🌱 I get my tomato plants from this amazing local woman in Lomita and they are just… next level. Their plants are always super healthy and they really know their stuff — soil, varieties, what actually grows well here, and other places - all of it. The tomatoes I’ve grown from her plants have been the best I’ve ever had. Like, real tomato flavor 🍅 I hand them out to my neighbors who wait for them every year. I picked up my plants last Sunday and I’m way too excited to get them in the ground this weekend. It kind of feels like the start of summer. If you ever find a local grower like this, don’t let them go!! I love Laurel's Heirloom Tomatoes!!! ❤️

**** Negative stars if possible*** Laurel’s Heirloom Tomatoes are not just bad — they’re a public service announcement for what not to do in business. The tomatoes arrived looking like they’d been hand-selected from a dumpster behind Olive Garden, shipped cross-country in a sauna, and then stomped on by a herd of rhinos before delivery. The shipping service? Imagine mailing a glass of milk through the Sahara desert and hoping it shows up cold — you’d have better luck. And the owner… wow. Customer service here makes the DMV look like a five-star resort. Rude doesn’t even cover it — it’s like she took a masterclass in hostility and graduated top of her class. Asking for help was like asking her to donate a kidney: instant attitude, zero solutions. Save yourself the trauma. This isn’t a farm, it’s a mockery. Spend your money literally anywhere else — heck, even gas-station salsa would be a step up.

I've honestly lost track of how many years I've purchased my tomatoes from Laurel's Heirloom Tomato Plants. And, yes, it would cost me less to buy here in Virginia. However, they wouldn't have had the advantage of Laurel's expert care in giving them the best possible beginning in California. This year, 2025, promises to be perfect because we've received a generous amount of rain. Many thanks to you Laurel for making our summers filled with luscious tomatoes. M

Ordered over the phone directly with owner Laurel. Bought 8 plants.ranging mostly $9.95 each and 1 which was $12.95. She recommended EXPRESS SHIPPING! I said yes. Was charged an additional 23.95 for packaging (NOT INFORMED OF EXTRA CHARGE) AND $88 shipping cost for ONLY REGULAR PRIORITY MAIL, (NOT EXPRESS) LIKE DISCUSSED. Total bill for 8 plants that arrived in over 3 days, NOT 2 Days. TOTAL OF $201.00. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THEY ALL HAVE BLACK SPOTTED LEAVES AND ARE YELLOW AND WILTED, INFECTED AND OR DISEASED. My whole crop would have been infected by these diseased almost dead plants. They went immediately into the garbage to avoid contamination to my other plants already established in my garden. So very unacceptable. I had to START A DISPUTE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY. Provided the exorbatant bill, picture proof of diseased plants, and message that she left me on my voicemail saying they had been delivered, which was a blatant (LIE). My credit card company was literally tracking the NON DELIVERED ORDER as she was lying to me on my voicemail. My husband and I were in disbelief as all of this was happening. Either this woman was truly delusional or intensionally lying, none the matter. She would not take ANY RESPONSIBILITY whatsoever as she talked over me, again and again. Then she had the nerve to tell me send them back!!!!!! As if I am going to spend even more money? She of course could feel free to send me pre-paid label and I will send her the garbage bag with the rotten tomatoes in it. REALLY? I think not. As a business owner for over 25 years, I would have never ever treated a client with the level disrespect, lying and gaslighting that I experienced with this woman. If you would like to be ripped off, extorted and then treated like garbage when you call to complain about poor quality, exorbitant, unjust and undisclosed price gauging, by all means order from Laurels Heirloom Tomato Plants. As for me, I am exploring any and all measures to rectify this extortion, get a full refund, and make sure it never happens again to anyone ever again! This woman is ripping people off and is incredibly disrespectful and rude as well. The most unprofessional experience I have ever had in my life.
