I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent purchase of the Aralia Fabian (8” pot, $51). After bringing it home, I did a full inspection and found visible pests remaining on the leaves. To provide some background, when I first came to pick up the Aralia Fabian, which I had asked to be put on hold over the phone. I immediately noticed visible white speckles that appeared to be spider mites, as well as some fuzzy white spots that looked like mealy bugs. The employee I spoke with in-store was very accommodating and agreed to spray the plant as requested, since the pest issue was visible onsite. I mentioned that I would come back in a few days to pick it up after treatment. I expected to still quarantine and treat the plant at home, but I was disappointed to find that the pests were still clearly present upon pickup. I would have hoped the issue would be addressed more thoroughly before the plant was released to a customer. As someone who comes to Potted specifically for quality plants, I do expect that plants sold — especially after noting a pest concern — would be free of visible pests at pickup. I had to wipe every leaf and do a full treatment immediately, which was discouraging. I’m sharing this in hopes of helping improve quality control. I’ve noticed a few other plants in the shop showing signs of pests as well, such as the Angel begonia with spider mites, and the Polka Dot Begonias looked quite stressed and not presentable — they almost seemed like they should be taken off the shelf. I want to continue supporting local boutique plant shops that are committed to plant health and transparency in their care and service, and I hope to have a better experience when I visit Potted next time.

This place is AMAZING! I came in with a plant in a sad container and had no idea how to care for it. They gave me some advice, helped me pick out a pot and repotted it for me. It’s also way bigger than it looks on the outside, very cute decor and nice neighborly vibes.

One of the best nurseries I’ve been. Lots of choices for plants, pots and many more. Plus amazing people working there, super helpful and knowledgeable.
