Buyer beware! This has been hands down the worst experience and thousands of dollars lost. I purchased a trio of tall money trees that cost $3,800 because I saw the beautiful pictures on Instagram and Architectural Digest. Immediately after the delivery, I noticed that a branch was starting to decay where they pruned it and sent in pictures. I followed their plant instructions and bought the moisture monitor, so I was continued. They said it was fine and to cut it off, which I did. It continued to decay and the tree eventually died. I was frustrated because I had been sending constant updates alerting them and asking for help without any responses because the employee who sold me the plant had departed. I also have an incredible number of other plants so this was surprising to me. Eventually, they responded and admittedly nicely replaced two of the trees because the second tree was dying. Very shortly thereafter, one of the trees started to die again. After chasing them down for weeks, they finally replaced the dying tree. The new tree died within a week. All of this I documented in pictures. I asked what did I do wrong or how should I have treated the trees differently, and they said sometimes it simply happens and there's nothing that I could do. What I learned is that these plants/trees die often and this had occurred with several other customers, and yet they continued to sell these and put them in the arrangement that they did. In addition, it's not clear the plants were actually the healthiest. I found this out from other customers AND employees (current and former). I had requested a refund especially since they explicitly said it was not my fault and since the trees would die immediately after they planted it. They ultimately offered a refund of $1,000 (vs. $3,800) but I had to give back the remaining living trees and the planter...that's because they were just going to resell it back to another customer and make more money. The cost of each tree is actually $200 and many were acquired from The Plant Stand of Arizona (you can see their pricing sheet), and they get other plants from there Just a reminder, I paid $3,800 for 3 trees, I was totally duped... Josh, the COO, said that I had waived my right to a refund/return after the 30 days from purchase. This was surprising to me because I was actually told there was NO refund ever from my sales person and it's nowhere on my invoice. Had I known there was any refund policy, I would have returned the entire arrangement as soon I saw the initial tree decaying. I mentioned all the unreturned emails, texts, and phone calls, and it didn't matter. I am happy to post the chain of texts and emails as evidence. I would never purchase from here ever again especially when there are such other great alternatives like the Plant Daddies or the Hollywood Tropics. Many of the reviews here are by the current employees so don't let the reviews deceive you. For example, Christa, Addison, Stayten, Joshua, etc...they all work at The Haus Plant. I know for a fact that there are many others were similar experiences, so please approach with caution!
