About the Nursery

Retail nursery and garden center. Top products: house plants, vegetable starts, herbs, perennials, annuals, sprinkler and pond parts. Pura Vida Garden Center is a horticultural retail establishment located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Historically established as a nursery, the business is undergoing a revival, with a grand reopening scheduled for May 2, 2026. The center focuses on providing a diverse range of plant life to the local community, including indoor house plants, a selection of locally grown vegetable and herb starts, and a seasonal inventory of annuals and perennials. Beyond live plant material, the garden center supports home gardening and landscape maintenance through the retail of specialized supplies such as sprinkler and pond components. Catering primarily to residential gardeners and local plant enthusiasts, the operation functions as both a source for living botanical inventory and the necessary hardscape accessories required for irrigation and water feature management. The facility maintains a seasonal retail schedule with updated hours provided via their public communication channels.

Pura Vida is my absolute FAVORITE garden shop! They have an all around great variety of flowers, plants, veggies and even gifts. Every trip I’ll find something I love - either something for my garden or a nice gift for my home or someone special. The crew there is AWESOME, always friendly and willing to help. Prices are fair and reasonable and their location is super convenient. Definitely recommend a trip to Pura Vida, well worth it!!

If you remember Good Earth, this is the incarnation of this beautiful space. Same great plants, more unique than the local box store. Great prices and helpful staff! Just go and wonder around, its good for the soul!

No hate on to this small business but it’s very unfortunate to see what it’s like now that it’s changed ownership 😢 reminds me of what happened with Ricks GC down the street. I’ve always thought Good Earth Garden Center was one of the best in the springs but now it’s extremely empty. Barely any plants are there and it’s EXTREMELY basic variety. I would always come here to find some of the coolest plants and pots but now it’s not the same. I hope they improve to plant varieties and live up to the Good Earth GC Legacy.

This company occupies the location that was previously Good Earth. The layout is very similar. They currently have a large selection of very tall tomato plants and some happy peppers for reasonable prices. They have a good selection of perennials and some nice hanging baskets. They do not yet have many annuals. This was our first visit since ownership changed. The staff seemed very nice and knowledgeable.

I was so excited when I saw a family had taken over this nursery. By far the best selection of tomatoes and peppers in town! And the coolest selection, too! All plants that will grow well in our climate and altitude. Have everything I’ve gotten here, including smart advice and suggestions. Strongly recommend to you!
