I was surprised to see such a negative review when my experience at Jungle & Loom has always been drastically different. I frequent this location regularly, and each time I enter the store, I am always greeted with warmth and kindness, no matter who is behind the counter. It is one of the main reasons I continue to return - that and they have some of the most unique and fun selections of plants, and truly one of a kind home decor in the District. Not only is the staff extremely welcoming and attentive, the atmosphere in the store is also so calming. As soon as you walk through the door, you can feel a shift in the energy, leaving the hustle and chaos of the city behind and stepping into a serene and safe space. You don’t have to look far to notice the attention to detail that has gone into the selections of books, candles, and plants that they carry and the level of care that the staff brings to their interactions with guests. Whether you are looking for quirky art, statement pieces that will be the focus of any room, or some of the most unique and vibrant plants you can find, Jungle & Loom has something for everybody! I’m looking forward to my next visit and can’t wait to get my hands on one of their new diffusers, and bring a few of the plants I got from them back to get repotted! (Because if Jungle & Loom wasn’t already amazing, they also offer repotting services, and share all the tips and tricks that will keep your plants thriving!) I adore my neighborhood plant and home decor shop. Stop in, you’ll adore it too.

I’m genuinely disappointed in my experience at Jungle & Loom. The space is beautiful and thoughtfully curated, which makes the lack of basic customer service even more noticeable. When I walked in, there was no greeting or acknowledgment. I browsed for several minutes before speaking first. When the employee finally responded, she remained looking down at her computer and did not look up to engage. I was the only customer in the store, yet I was never asked if I needed assistance. It’s disheartening how often the art of simple customer service and etiquette seems to be fading. Eye contact, a warm greeting, and basic engagement require little effort but make a meaningful difference. As someone who genuinely loves plants and values supporting neighborhood businesses, I left feeling unwelcome. Unfortunately, I would not return.

Jungle and Loom in DC feels like stepping into a living, breathing oasis—one that manages to be both stylish and deeply comforting. The space is lush without being overwhelming, curated with the kind of thoughtfulness that makes you want to linger. Their selection of house plants is especially inspiring if you’re thinking beyond the living room. I went in looking for plants that could thrive in the humidity of a bathroom, and the staff guided me toward options that not only fit the environment but also added an unexpected touch of spa-like serenity. The mix of greenery they suggest for smaller spaces is brilliant—functional, calming, and striking all at once. Equally impressive is Jungle and Loom’s range of gifts. If you’re looking for something personal yet universally appreciated, this is the spot. From easy-care plants in gorgeous pots to thoughtful accessories that pair beautifully with greenery, it’s the kind of place where you can pick up a gift for a friend, your mom, or even a colleague and feel confident it’ll be genuinely loved. What sets the shop apart, though, is its vibe: it feels warm, inviting, and refreshingly modern. Jungle and Loom isn’t just a plant shop—it’s a destination for bringing a little more beauty and life into your home and into the lives of the people you care about.

I can’t rave enough about my recent experience at Jungle & Loom’s Navy Yard location! I was on the hunt for a vintage dresser and couldn’t believe my luck—Anna, the owner herself, was in that day. She was incredibly sweet and helpful, making the entire experience seamless from start to finish. Not only did I find the perfect dresser, but the local delivery fee was super economical, and the moving help was absolutely sensational! It felt like such a smooth process, which is rare when it comes to buying and moving furniture. I’m beyond happy with my purchase and can’t wait to return, especially to pick out some of their beautiful plants. This store is a gem, and Anna and her team truly make it special!
