Rose Petals Nursery, established in 2005 and based in Archer, Florida, is a veteran-owned and family-operated horticultural business specializing in the propagation and sale of rare, antique, and 'Found' roses. The nursery focuses on preserving botanical history by cultivating varieties that are not commonly available in mainstream garden centers, emphasizing plants known for their unique fragrances, historical significance, and distinct aesthetic characteristics. Their inventory consists primarily of own-root roses, which are made available to customers across the lower 48 states via domestic shipping or through local in-store pick-up by appointment. The business serves rose enthusiasts, gardeners, and collectors, providing both shipping for one-gallon plants and a comprehensive retail selection at their physical nursery location. Beyond retail sales, the company positions itself as a steward of rose history, offering educational content, planting guidance, and community workshops to support gardeners in the successful cultivation of heirloom varieties.

If the words ANTIQUE ROSES give you delightful shivers, this is the place to visit. A charming, great variety . . . there must have been 200 historic roses here. I think one of the most interesting things I've ever done is talk to this guy about antique roses. To buy from a grower is so much more fascinating, and so many different roses there to learn. Art had just given a rose presentation to a garden club that morning, and I was wishing that I might have heard it. Professional, excellent teaching skills, kind, extremely knowledgeable and straight-forward. We chose two beautiful plants from their selection (for now) to start in our yard. Would definitely purchase from them again.

EXQUISITE: We wanted to plant in a Louis Phillippe before the end of this gardening season, so we called RPN. They were able to see us the same day and provide a beautiful, full LP rose for us, and a Nur Mahal to grow on the opposite side of the arbor. It was a rare treat to spend an hour learning from Art, an old-country, old-school rosegrower, growing own-root with no spraying, so many charming historic varieties. I learned so much! He was right there patiently with thorough answers and more for every question I had. Now we want to research every rose on their site for its fascinating history, because we know that someone so "rooted" in roses would have the most meaningfully-curated collection. Visiting here was such a gift that I'll always remember. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED; UTTERLY CHARMING.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Rose Petals Nursery. From start to finish, their customer service was beyond exceptional. When my original order was unfortunately lost in transit by the carrier, Cydney went above and beyond to make it right. She handled everything personally -- filing the claim, keeping me updated every step of the way, and ensuring that a replacement shipment was prepared without delay. What stood out most was how personable and genuine every interaction felt. Cydney took the time to recommend a beautiful substitute rose, E. Veyrat Hermanos (Sunset), and her expertise and enthusiasm made the process enjoyable even through the shipping hiccup. The replacements arrived in perfect condition -- healthy, well-packed, and clearly cared for by people who love what they do. It's rare these days to find a nursery that combines horticultural knowledge, old-fashioned customer care, and such integrity in service. Rose Petals has earned my loyalty, and I'll be recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you again, Cydney and team -- your kindness and professionalism turned what could have been a frustrating experience into one that reminded me why small, passionate businesses like yours are so special.

I have been growing roses for many years and have ordered from Rose Petals Nursery before. This was, unfortunately, the worst batch of roses I have ever received. All of the plants arrived very weak, with thin canes, some with black spot on the foliage, and two even live scale insects on the canes. From the 8 roses I ordered, La Reine, was in especially poor condition. I have been feeding, treating, and trying to nurse them back, but no rose should be shipped to a customer in this state. When I reached out, customer service refunded me for one rose, but what I was expecting was a little more kindness and at least an apology for the condition of the roses. Especially this rose, La Reine, has a special meaning because I bought it to honor the memory of my little grandaughter who is in heaven. After years of buying roses, I found that response very disappointing. I share this review not out of anger, but because I want others to know that while this nursery offers interesting varieties, the quality and service have declined. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their standards. Needless to say, I will be taking my business to some other rosarians.

I have purchased about 40 roses from this company. I love the chemical free process they propagate their roses with. They won’t be as pretty as your big over fertilizer competitors but you’ll get a lovely rose that is its own root and will thrive in Northern Florida zone 9a.
