Beautiful plants, and they had a large variety of well cared for succulents, which is what I was looking for.

Sometimes we place too much focus on the quality when researching reviews and not enough on customer service. We have several plants, trees, bushes, and flowers that we are planning to purchase to update our landscaping. This trip, we started with purchasing podocarpus plants. We needed two for now, to fill a space where we had lost one due to a storm and had another one that just wasn't thriving. Picking them out was a little tricky because of the standing water and closeness making it hard to walk between them to find the right one (I'm between small and average size). Also, there are many sold that you have to walk through to find the random available ones. Needless to say, the two we found were not near by each other to compare size etc. So I used my hand held up and eyesight, to tell whether I could see over it or not, to measure it's height. Should have brought a measuring tape. I knew one was a little shorter, turns out A LOT (18 inches) than the other one that was the same "size" / price. We paid, and had someone place the stickers on the ones we chose. It was going to be a few weeks before they could deliver but we were OK with that, so we're happy to get a call much earlier saying they would be in our area the next day. It was short notice and I did have to leave work early but didn't want to miss the window of opportunity. They said I would get a text when they were on their way there which was important because I had a ton of work I was trying to get done before leaving on short notice. The crew was there before I got home and I never received a text. Not a big deal just part of the communication breakdown. When I looked at the podos just to verify because unfortunately you can't trust anyone these days, they had the right number on the sticker. OK, but could it have come off, been switched, and sitting here typing this I'm realizing how easily they could just write that number on a new sticker and slap it on anything. Anyway, I wouldn't even think that way but after the abhorrent / abysmal customer service experience with, (I think she said Chelsea, I hope that's right, she knows who she is), she needs to stick to plants because - what an awful human. My husband was trying to tell the workers that we didn't want that one because of such a difference in size, and even though they didn't speak very much English and my husband speaks little Spanish, it was obvious they understood what they were seeing right in front of their own eyes. They offered to take back and bring another plant. Now, we know that it may not be totally free, understandable. Not my first rodeo. And have bought a dozen podos before. So I get a call from "Chelsea ?" and she immediately says with a tone "so what's going on?!" I was a little taken aback. I was happy to talk it out but as soon as I started she cut me off and started speaking so condescending, something to the effect of "now you know it is going to be shorter it's in a pot it has to go in the ground obviously it's its going to be shorter, ... just because you don't like what YOU PICKED OUT" . She continues like this. I had to interject a few times to even speak while she spoke down to me like I was a 4 year old who had never bought a plant before let alone paid thousands of dollars for in the past. So I finally say will you please let me finish speaking and answer your question. I was trying to explain is it possible about this not being the right plant and either way they are so different that I'd like another one and also the team had offered it as an option. "take back, bring another one maybe not today...". So I'm trying to just talk out my options. I had already picked out a beautiful tree, a Bougainvillea, and needed some other flowers for another trip so I knew I would be paying another delivery fee either way. She had me so upset and dumbfounded how she was speaking to me that I just said forget the whole thing. I'll keep the much smaller one and will just go somewhere else than to ever purchase at Unique Plants and Palms again.
Great selection of annuals, perennials, bushes and trees. Prices and quality are excellent. I was looking for a very specific type of bush. I went to 5 other places before I found it here. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they are a little hidden and no signs for parking, etc. Otherwise I love the place! Highly recommend.
As their name says, they have lots of palms and some very unique plants. Some nice fountains too. Will be shopping here again.
I had a very uncomfortable experience at Unique Palms and Plants while shopping for Alocasia’s. While the selection of plants is nice, the customer service completely overshadowed it- in a bad way. The staff in the office came across as dismissive and unfriendly, and the elder woman who checked me out made me feel particularly unwelcome. As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic respect, but instead I left feeling judged and uncomfortable. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience stood out for all the wrong reasons. I hope management takes a closer look at how customers are being treated, because no one should feel unwelcome while simply trying to shop. The only positive thing I can say are the plants are beautiful. I still stomached through the checkout experience with Carol and purchased the only Alocasia they had.
