About the Nursery

Edible fruit tree nursery. Top products: Grape Vines, Jamaican Cherry Trees, Loquat Trees, Papaya Trees, Tamarind Trees. Little Tree Homestead is an urban-based horticultural nursery located in Gulfport, Florida, focused on sustainable living and regenerative agriculture. Operating as a nonprofit, the organization specializes in the cultivation and sale of edible fruit-bearing trees and vines, such as Jamaican Cherry, Loquat, Papaya, and Tamarind. Their mission extends beyond retail, serving as an educational hub that teaches community members essential self-sufficiency skills, including food gardening, raising poultry, apiculture, and food preservation. By operating on a sliding-scale donation model, they prioritize accessibility, ensuring that both their botanical products and educational resources are available to individuals regardless of financial standing. The nursery caters primarily to local homeowners interested in urban homesteading, food security, and organic growing practices. Through their hands-on approach, they demonstrate the feasibility of productive, sustainable food systems within standard urban property constraints.

Great place, great people. Good plant selection. We go to them for or annuals and some other florida friendly plants.

Beautiful experience! The place is packed with thriving plants ready to bring home. I brought my kids and they were able to explore the garden, pull a carrot, and throw some grubs to the chickens. Very helpful place to start your home garden.

Fantastic plants, very cool homestead vibe, & learned so much about how to care for the plants I picked up. Will be attending future classes here & getting more starter plants for sure!

I've purchased several plants from Little Tree Homestead including peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and spinach. All are healthy, happy, and thriving about a month after planting. Little Tree Homestead has been a great resource, especially when I've gotten behind on starting from seed or for plants that are challenging to start from seed. My husband and I have also enjoyed their garden tour. The owners are knowledgeable, thoughtful, and generously share information to promote success in growing food at home. I highly recommend Little Tree Homestead. They are truly a valuable resource within our gardening community.

A piece of country heaven to be surrounded by beautiful vegetables sprouting and thriving. The fresh cut greens made the best salad.
