They always have such a large and unique selection of plants! Several plants I haven’t been able to find elsewhere. Was having some issues with critters eating plants in my garden, as well as Japanese beetles on my raspberries! The owner came out and chatted with me for a while and directed me to the right products (I like natural solutions and he helped me pic those out) he also gave me a bunch of tips and tricks to try out that have been working great!
I called about getting dirt delivered and initially had a good experience speaking with polite and helpful staff. The delivery itself went smoothly with no issues. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The dirt/compost mix was completely misrepresented. It was supposed to be pulverized, but instead it was full of large, hard clumps and appeared to contain material that was not even fully composted. It was nowhere near usable quality for what I needed. After putting it into a new garden bed, the amount of weeds coming through has been unbelievable—far worse than anything I’ve dealt with before. This product created more problems than it solved. I strongly advise against buying their dirt or compost. To make matters worse, a few weeks later we stopped in to look for large rocks for a border. When we asked the woman at the register for help, she was impatient, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Between the poor product quality and the lack of customer service, we will not be returning. It’s especially disappointing because I prefer to support small businesses, but this was an overall negative experience.
I bought 2 cubic yards of dirt that was suppose to be garden oil mixed with compost. I already had soil that had very little weeds. After I bought this soil from here, my garden was FULL of weeds! Like a ridiculous amount! Im so pissed about it.
This is a spacious nursery with helpful staff and is great for getting large quantities of dirt or landscaping materials. Their perennial section seems way behind other local nurseries in terms of available selection in late May. I was surprised to see only two rose varieties ready for purchase. The worker said that’s all they have because it’s still early and they’ll have more if I come back later in the year.
