It's a very nice place, and the manager treats the buyers well; they can come and check which plants they like, and he treats them as they deserve...

It's a very beautiful place and they have all kinds of plants.
I purchased 24 Brodie Cedar Trees from Sharp Tree Farm and Nursery. I asked Sharp Tree Farm and Nursery for a landscaper recommendation to plant the trees. I had good faith in Sharp Tree Farm and Nursery and hired their recommended landscaper. Their recommended landscaper visited my home to inspect the soil conditions. The landscaper used a rod and looked at a handful of soil for possible clay or gumbo soil. He did not identify any soil problems and accepted the job. A week later the recommended landscaper planted the trees which were not “watered in” and large cavities occurred around the root balls later in the day. The 8’-10’ trees were not staked and were gracefully falling over with the gentle breeze. After complaining to Sharp Tree Farm and Nursery their recommended landscaper returned 10 days later to stake the trees and charged me an additional fee. The trees were planted at different depths. (An arborist later identified this as one of the problems with the dead trees.) On the day that he planted the trees the recommended landscaper said that the soil was a sandy clay and instructed me to water the trees at 14 gal/wk/tree. By day 20, 3 trees died. I contacted the landscaper who asked me not to tell the Sharp Tree Farm and Nursery. Within hours the landscaper showed up with 3 replacement trees at no cost. He claimed that the nursery “helped out” with the replacement trees. When the dead trees were removed they all had smelly root rot with water at the bottom of the hole. Sharp’s recommended landscaper pointed out to me that he was planting the new trees higher. At this time, the landscaper blamed the soil (clay) for the problem even though he never identified any problems during his soil inspection or at the time of planting. The landscaper then blamed the land developer for moving different types of soils at different levels around the community. The recommended landscaper now told me to totally stop watering for 1 week and after that to only water each tree at 1 gal./week. The following week, 4 more trees died. All of the dead trees were planted below the adjacent soil level. 52 days after planting Robert R. Sharp personally came to inspect the trees. Mr. Sharp told me that his recommended landscaper “dug a hole and found clay at the 18 inch level” at the time of his inspection. The landscaper never dug a hole at the time of his inspection! He only used a rod. I was never told that there was a soil problem until the landscaper removed the dead trees. During Mr. Sharp’s visit I persistently insisted on digging a hole in his presence but he said, “I’m not going to let you do it” denying the opportunity to prove the soil conditions in his presence. He also did not look at the variation in planting depths. If I were told about soil problems, I would have been willing to pay extra money for alternate planting measures if necessary. Mr. Sharp claims that he is not responsible because he does not provide a warranty. After replacing the first 3 dead tress, Mr. Sharp or his landscaper will now no longer correct the problems and everything is “my” soil problem. I have deep sorrow that I put all of my faith and conviction in Sharp tree farm and their recommended landscaper. It is agonizing to now look into my back yard with 4 costly dead trees. 7 dead trees out of 24 is intolerable! This is all very painful.
Sharp Tree Farm has a very beautiful property. I took this photo as I entered their driveway and had to share it once I realized how nice it came out. It is my dream driveway!
Thank you Pat and Karen for saving the day. After Aventura Nursery failed to deliver as promised...I called Sharp Tree Farm in a panic. It is my fathers 70th birthday and within hours Pat had a beautiful red rocket potted and delivered for me. These folks are definitely worthy of your business! Thanks again! Tracey
