I was excited to check this place out as I recently moved to the neighborhood. Nice nursery but the staff member was so rude that I didn’t stay long! I was looking at houseplants and google lensing it to see if it was safe for cats. She walked right by me and gave me the dirtiest look. I said hello and she did not respond. I guess I’ll have to drive a bit longer to get to another nursery but it will be worth it to avoid that scowl! Yikes!
I popped in today and WOAH, what a selection!!! They had some seriously impressive & heathy looking hoyas but unfortunately upon inspection I noticed that one had mealies…:( I would have told an associate but I was in a rush. I have some measly trauma and didn’t want to take that risk today but I’ll definitely be back in the future for other plants and hopefully the mealie issue gets remediated!
This is my new favorite nursery in Portland. Quality and care of Portland Nursery without the high cost. They have a good selection, smaller than PN, but lovingly curated and cared for.
Larry is very knowledgeable and takes pride in his work! They’ve been around for nearly 100 years, and I can easily see why. They grow nearly all of the plants on-site too! I would rather support a local business that grows their plants in-house than go to a big box store. I’m coming back to fill up my Subaru with plants very soon. 🌱
