About the Nursery

Diversified nursery and farm. Top products: spring plant starts, certified organic produce, blueberries, Camellia sinensis tea plants. Minto Island Growers is a 30-acre diversified farm and nursery located in South Salem, Oregon, situated adjacent to Minto Brown Island Park. Co-owned by Chris Jenkins and Elizabeth Miller Jenkins, the operation has maintained Oregon Tilth organic certification since 2009. The business functions as both a production farm and a horticultural nursery, offering spring plant starts and maintaining specialized agricultural projects, including the cultivation of Oregon's only commercial-scale Camellia sinensis (tea) planting and mint propagation. Historically rooted in native plant cultivation and forestry restoration, the farm integrates ecological stewardship with its commercial activities. Their distribution model includes a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, participation in the Salem Saturday Market, and an on-site farm stand. In addition to plant and produce sales, the farm provides U-pick blueberry opportunities and operates on-site food service facilities.

Not really a farm stand. More like an outdoor restaurant. They make pizza, sell alcohol, and have a very limited and expensive produce selection.

Great little hangout. Farm to table food stand, freshest produce, CSA boxes and beautiful flowers. Have a seat, enjoy wood-fired pizza and a craft drink while listening to live music. Let the kids play in an adorable play area and just admire the scenery. Also, the only place I’ve seen in the area that you can get tea plants from! Worth checking out.

Love this place for some fresh fruit and veggies and this is a great place to u-pick blueberries. Great pizza and beer/wine options and a fun way to spend an afternoon.
