Their begonia maculatas all have powdery mildew and crispy leaves. For a place claiming to be a nursery it’s upsetting to see them sell people sick plants. Also saw no grow lights on in the darkest corners, which you’d expect at most knowledgeable plant shops. Price ranges are higher than what you can find at other plant shops/nurseries.

For plant lovers like me, this is the place to be! They have a beautiful variety of indoor and outdoor plants! I was visiting Philly and definitely didn't hesitate to bring some back to NYC!
It’s disappointing to visit a plant spot that makes me dread going, and I won’t come here unless I absolutely need something for my plants. I have over 100+ plants in different varieties and worked for almost 2 years in retail plant care, with a large background in hospitality and service management. The last visit I had, I was the one who helped another guest in the store pick out a low light plant and they bought it. They also recognized me from working at another plant location and having helped them, which is why your spot made that sale. You don’t get so much as a “Hello” walking in. Today, I walked in and asked about soil and the way I was treated made me feel stupid for asking a question. I can understand why this spot isn’t as popular as it could be. The reason why AI and online shopping is still popular is the organic spaces have people working who reflect the way the shop values its customers. And the reflection is that this place could care less about the community it services that also sustains it. I’ve bought two plants from this space, both in poor condition because I couldn’t stand letting the plants just die. When working in plant spots, I’ve always offered a discount for someone purchasing a sickly plant, and I don’t even know if anyone who works here knows how to truly care for the plants, since no one has ever pointed out the state of the plant I buy. Or, they’re selling sickly plants to people and assuming these people don’t know. How can you operate and sell living things with such little care? Photo is of my most recent plant purchase. This was an okay state of a plant to sell at full price for this business.
I dropped off 2 glass containers and a macrame wall hanging set and had one of the floral designers fill it. I think they did an amazing job!
Store very well organized and personnel extremely helpful.
