About the Nursery

Greenhouse and Produce Market. Top products: Vibrant plants, Fresh produce, Homemade soups, Local artisan goods. Tebbs Farms & Greenhouses is a multi-generational horticultural and retail business that has been operating for 75 years. While the business has evolved to include a comprehensive year-round retail market, it maintains core operations as a grower of vibrant plants, which are sold alongside seasonal fresh produce. The company operates a climate-controlled, enclosed retail facility that functions as both a garden center and a local food hub. Their inventory includes a diverse range of ornamental and seasonal plant varieties, catering to local homeowners and gardeners. In addition to their horticultural offerings, Tebbs operates an on-site kitchen, producing homemade soups and ready-to-eat meals, and serves as a curated marketplace for various regional producers, including bakeries, creameries, and local farms. Their mission focuses on providing high-quality, locally-sourced products within a comfortable, accessible environment for the surrounding community.

First time buyer of their products! Outstanding selection of produce and homemade items. I intend on becoming a regular shopper! Thank you!

I visited this greenhouse twice this season while working on our yard, and unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be returning. The first time I stopped in, I was looking for something specific and didn’t have the best experience. The staff felt pretty dismissive when I asked about it, and I got the impression that it was somehow my fault for not coming earlier in the season. This was frustrating, especially considering we still had a hard frost in May this year, so many people were understandably waiting to plant. The selection was okay — not huge, but given the size and location, that part was understandable. I also found the prices to be about 10–15% higher than other locations I checked for the same types of items I was looking for. About a month later, I decided to give them another chance. I wasn’t looking for anything specific this time, just hoping to maybe find a few end-of-season deals. The greenhouse was packed, parking was chaotic, and the inside felt extremely hectic. Their hanging baskets were beautiful, but not really what I was looking for. While the staff wasn’t dismissive on the second visit, they were clearly overwhelmed and rushing around. I do appreciate the effort to keep lines moving, but both visits left me feeling like there really wasn’t much customer service or help available. Overall, between the higher pricing, limited selection, and lack of customer service, I’ll likely choose one of the many other greenhouse options in the Williamsport, Montoursville, and Muncy area in the future.

Just had some of their sweet corn today and it is by far the best I have had in a long time. I don’t live in the area but will remember them when I pass through. Very sweet with a unique taste!
