This is a great spot to buy original gifts, such as bird houses, even for bats and owls and native plants. They have stakes for the garden, cool soaps and even hand made calendars with butterflies on them. And quite a huge selection of native plants for any garden - sunny or shady.
Checkerspot has a fabulous selection of native perennial flowers! Plants are in great shape for planting. We bought several last year and everything did very well in our garden. The information sheets posted with each set of plants are well presented and helpful for learning about the plants and their needs. And Jocelyn, the owner, is a fount of knowledge; more so than we've encountered at any other plant store. So if you have any questions about plants, she can fill you in. For a small store, there's incredible variety.
Jocelyn is a super enthusiastic and just salt of the earth grounded person. Learned a lot about native plants. Will bring my wife back. I came to buy local meat from Dar Ridge Farm just down the road.
