About the Nursery
Native Plant Specialty Nursery. Top products: Native trees, Native shrubs, Native vines, Pollinator plug plants, Perennials and grasses. Native Plant Trust, operating through locations including Nasami Farm in Whately, Massachusetts, is a prominent horticultural organization dedicated to the conservation and propagation of native New England flora. Unlike traditional garden centers, the nursery specializes in ecotypic plants—species adapted to the local environment to support regional biodiversity and pollinators. Their horticultural operations involve the cultivation of a wide range of native trees, shrubs, vines, and herbaceous perennials. The organization serves as a resource for both home gardeners and landscape professionals seeking to integrate ecologically beneficial species into their properties. Beyond retail sales, the Trust functions as an educational hub, providing courses on native plant gardening, conservation practices, and botanical studies. Their mission emphasizes the importance of utilizing indigenous species to maintain healthy, resilient landscapes, with a particular focus on high-quality, sustainably grown nursery stock.
