Called and was told that they had a specific item. Drove ninety fivemiles one way only to be told that the have never carried it. Horrible customer experience

I bought several hundred dollars worth of grasses, bushes, and hydrangeas last summer and fall from this place. One of my hydrangea plants did not make it and five of the ornamental grasses I bought did not either. I called to inquire as to whether or not I could exchange them, if they were guaranteed. I was told to dig them up and bring them in, and I could exchange them. When I got there, the owner came to assist the teenage girl at the register. His name is Mike. Mike was rude, condescending, and incredibly unprofessional. He would not exchange the hydrangea, and the two grasses that I was told were covered when I called on the phone due to my not having a receipt. I explained to him that I specifically inquired about having a receipt - I asked when I called if that was necessary and I was told on the phone that it was not. I cannot believe the despicable customer service from the owner himself. The mansplaining out of this guy is real. 0/10 would NOT recommend. I’ve sent a lot of people here in the past but will now make sure I tell everyone I know to spend their money elsewhere. I know I’m not a customer who you value because I’m not a contractor but I used to spend several hundred dollars a season here. I owned two businesses and cannot imagine treating a customer like I just got treated. Good job Mike!

Nice place, good healthy plants, friendly staff. Smaller than I imagined but good selection of plants i haven't found elsewhere.
