We had the absolute pleasure of touring the native animal enclosures with Taylor who was a wealth of knowledge. When Taylor tells you about these animals, it is clear how much he cares for a respects them. The work they are doing at Reflection Riding is admirable. We learned so much and wished we had more time to explore the grounds!

Cool outdoor park and trails with some neat things to check out. The tree house was cool, the kids liked the river access area, there’s a small exhibit of local reptiles and amphibians, and the kids looooved the horses in the field. It was a great place for a family picnic. They also seem to have a nature friendly kids summer camp that was ongoing, I think I saw them clearing out invasive species. Great place to spend a few hours!
This was a hidden gem that we stumbled upon. Employees were very helpful. Great walk along a groomed trail that took us to the nursery with plants native to the area. Some information about animals in the area, many trees identified and just a long gentle walk through nature. If you have an hour or two, it is a great place to do a nature walk.
This was a quiet surprise as we kind of went there on a whim as we had to wait a few hours for other plans. We were able to see horses, herons, turtles, frogs and all types of wildlife. The trails were beautiful and reminded us of a smaller Cades Cove. They are doing a lot of renovation which seems to be needed. Had a small but informative visitor center and a fun treehouse on the boardwalk. Will be back.
My husband and I went to the animal sanctuary and it was very informative. Taylor did a good job! Then we went for a walk and the views are breathtaking 🙂
