Ordered difficult-to-find Allegheny Spurge from Boyd's twice over the past three years, first 50 and then 100. I was pleased to find someone carrying the native pachysandra and avoid the ever-present Japanese variety. I was nervous about how they would survive shipment to PA from TN, but each time the plants arrived in good condition (although it can be hard to tell with bare root). The printed instructions are wonderfully explicit and the plants arrived very well packed. I didn't get my first order in the ground quickly enough and they dried out due to my own negligence, but I still had about 50% survive; the second time around I was properly prepared, and it appears almost all the ~80 plants I got in the ground are budding, including those that stayed in the box for three days with only some light spraying to keep them from drying out. Very pleased with the results and the quality of the stock, especially given the vagaries of long-distance shipping of plants. I will certainly be ordering spurge from Boyd's again in the next few years as I fill in any remaining gaps!

Incredible customer service! My little Boston Ivy arrived today in perfect condition and is very healthy! She makes me so happy! For the individuals giving this nursery a negative review, HAVE YOU READ THE DIRECTIONS? Do not cast stones and write negative reviews simply because you didn’t do your due diligence! This is my FIRST time purchasing and I will continue to purchase from this nursery. And don’t even roll your eyes hating on me for standing up for people who deserve to be stood up for!! This place is 10/10, the customer service is incredible! I messed up my order and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy in the end. Don’t shop anywhere else folks!

INCREDIBLE customer service. I had ordered a few plants and the post office had a delay on delivery. 2 of the 5 plants did not survive. I had email the company about my issue. Within a short few minutes I received a reply via Email. The next morning one of the owners called me to speak on resolving the issue. The owner also told me it was ok to call at a very late hour if the night . They replaced all plants that did not survive right away and had them sent overnight. The owner requested I called them soon as new plants arrived to ensure they made it to me. This company will go over and beyond to have every customer satisfied no matter how small of an order is placed. Customer service like they have is almost unheard of these days. Boyd Nursery Company is AMAZING!!!!
