Jack's Greenhouse and Farm

Pretty fair pricing and the flower options looked nice and rather healthy. I only bought some late vegetables for the garden this time but will be back for some other plants.

Excellent plants and helpful service

It’s taken me almost a year to write this since I hate writing negative reviews but everytime I look at the work they did I get angry. We had good experiences in prior years with Jacks and so decided to use them for a larger, what they charged $5000, project. Total disaster. Just about everything they did was wrong. On the plus side, they planted some trees along our driveway and the front of our house. They did this in the height of summer and our driveway is 1/10 mile long. So my husband was out there everyday with hoses to keep them hydrated. They also neglected to protect the bark of the trees with the protectors, so while we took care of it at a later date, one has already died. They cut down the wrong (healthiest) tree. The biggest expense ($3,000) they were supposed to create a rock garden and dig up the existing 20’x6’ garden, put in a weed liner. Instead, they did a poor job of weeding, planted like 10 little things, and messily threw some of the old porch stone we had in our yard to create a “rock garden”. They left the soil bare. When we vociferously complained, Jack came over and acted like nothing was wrong with the work. He made some amends by adding some rocks and throwing like 2 bags of mulch (again on a 20’x6’) space. Now the area has been completely overtaken by weeds that are impossible to get out. Mulching properly would have prevented that problem. Our landscaping crew could have done a better job for like $300 not $3000. In summary, shop at the garden center/planting of a tree but don’t use landscaping services.
